MEMBERSHIP TERMS Last Updated: August 2026
Welcome to the Leading From The Front Leadership Academy. By purchasing a membership, you agree to the following Membership Terms.
1. Membership
The LFTF Leadership Academy is a digital fire service leadership development membership operated by Leading From The Front LLC.
Membership provides access to Academy content that may include on-demand leadership videos, downloadable resources, Leadership in Action scenarios, leadership development tools, and other content made available to members.
New content may be added, updated, replaced, or removed as the Academy continues to develop.
2. Monthly and Annual Memberships
The Leadership Academy may offer both monthly and annual membership options.
Monthly memberships are billed at the monthly rate displayed at the time of purchase.
Annual memberships are billed in full at the annual rate displayed at the time of purchase.
Membership prices are clearly displayed before checkout and may be changed for future purchases or renewals as permitted by applicable law.
3. Automatic Renewal
Paid memberships automatically renew at the end of the selected billing period unless canceled before the next renewal date.
Monthly memberships renew monthly.
Annual memberships renew annually.
The payment method associated with your account will be charged the applicable membership fee at renewal unless the membership has been canceled.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your membership at any time through your customer account.
Cancellation prevents future renewal charges. It does not immediately terminate access to the Academy.
After cancellation, you will continue to have access to Academy content through the remainder of your current paid billing period. At the end of that period, your membership and access to members-only Academy content will expire.
This matches how Squarespace currently handles member cancellations: future subscription payments are canceled while access continues through the remainder of the paid billing cycle.
5. Refunds
Membership payments are generally non-refundable once processed, except where required by applicable law or where Leading From The Front LLC determines that a refund is appropriate.
Canceling a membership does not automatically refund payments already made.
For example, if you purchase an annual membership and cancel before the end of that year, you will retain access through the remainder of your paid annual membership period, but cancellation does not by itself generate a prorated refund.
Squarespace likewise does not automatically refund a member's previous payments when the member cancels, although the site owner has the ability to issue a membership refund when appropriate.
6. Individual Account Use
Unless otherwise expressly stated, an individual Academy membership is intended for one individual member.
Members may not share login credentials or provide other individuals with unauthorized access to members-only Academy content.
Department, group, or organizational access may be subject to separate membership arrangements if offered by Leading From The Front LLC.
7. Academy Content and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, Academy videos, downloadable resources, scenarios, graphics, written materials, training content, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Leading From The Front LLC and are provided for the member's personal and professional development.
Membership does not transfer ownership of Academy content to the member.
Members may download resources specifically made available for download and use them for their own leadership development and professional use as reasonably intended.
Academy materials may not be reproduced, resold, republished, uploaded to another website or platform, distributed commercially, or otherwise made publicly available without prior written permission from Leading From The Front LLC.
8. Sharing Academy Materials
Members are encouraged to apply Academy concepts and discuss leadership lessons within their firehouses and organizations.
However, purchasing an individual membership does not authorize a member to distribute the Academy's complete downloadable library, share members-only videos, provide account access to others, or reproduce Academy content for commercial use.
9. Educational Purpose
Leadership Academy content is provided for educational and professional development purposes.
Academy content does not replace department policies, standard operating procedures or guidelines, collective bargaining agreements, applicable laws, legal advice, human-resources guidance, or the authority of the member's fire department or organization.
Members are responsible for applying leadership concepts appropriately within their own organization and circumstances.
10. Availability and Changes to the Academy
Leading From The Front LLC may periodically add, modify, update, reorganize, or remove Academy content and features.
While the goal of the Academy is to provide ongoing leadership development and regularly updated content, specific videos, resources, scenarios, features, or release schedules are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely.
11. Membership Pricing Changes
Leading From The Front LLC reserves the right to change membership pricing in the future.
Any pricing changes affecting existing recurring memberships will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the billing/notification capabilities of the membership platform.
12. Account Termination
Leading From The Front LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership access for misuse of the Academy, including unauthorized account sharing, redistribution or resale of Academy materials, fraudulent activity, or other material violations of these Membership Terms.
Any termination and refund determination will be handled consistent with applicable law.
13. Technology and Third-Party Services
The Leadership Academy relies on third-party technology and services for website hosting, payments, video delivery, and other functionality.
Leading From The Front LLC cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times and is not responsible for temporary interruptions caused by maintenance, internet connectivity, third-party outages, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
